Embedding Plans & Products on Your Website
Put your pricing where your visitors already are. Copy one line of code from the Products Hub, paste it into your marketing site (or any site you manage), and a group of plans or a single product appears there, with live prices and working Buy buttons.
New in v4.164.0. Nothing appears on any outside website until you add that site to your allowed list.
What You Get
You can embed either of two things:
| Embed | What it shows |
|---|---|
| A group | Every public plan or product in the group, in the group's order, three to a row by default. Edit the group in the portal and every site it's embedded on shows the change the next time the page loads, with no new code to paste |
| A single product or plan | That one card, one to a row by default |
Cards look the way they do on your public product pages: name, tagline, features, price and interval, and the Buy or Subscribe button, in your portal's brand color.
Getting the Code
- Open the Products Hub (
/product-manager/) - For a group, go to the Groups tab and open the group's ⋯ menu. For a single plan or product, use its ⋯ menu on the Catalog tab
- Choose Embed
- Optionally pick Columns: 1, 2, 3 or 4. Default means 3 for a group and 1 for a single product
- Click Copy and paste the code anywhere in the body of the other site's page
The code is a single script tag, for example:
<script src="https://portal.example.com/wp-content/themes/ClientCove/assets/js/cove-embed.js" data-cove-embed="products" data-cove-group="123"></script>
Most site builders (WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix) have an HTML or Embed code block for exactly this.
Allowing the Site
The Embed window also holds Sites allowed to embed ClientCove forms and products. Add the address of every site you'll paste the code into, one per line, then Save allowed sites.
- Use the site's origin: the scheme and host, plus a port if it has one.
https://acme.comis right;acme.com(no scheme) andhttps://acme.com/pricing(a path) are not. The path is dropped when you save, and a line withouthttps://is discarded https://acme.comandhttps://www.acme.comare different sites. Add both if your site answers on both- Until a site is on the list, your embeds only work inside your portal. An outside page that isn't listed shows a short notice where the embed should be, naming the exact address to add
This is the same list as the support form embed under Tickets → Embed form. A site you allow in either place can show both your support form and your products.
What Visitors See
Only plans and products that are public, active and not assigned to a client are ever shown. Visitors see the same thing whether or not they're signed in to your portal, so a client's private plans never leak onto your website.
- If a group has some plans that don't qualify, those cards are simply left out
- If nothing in the group qualifies, or a single product isn't public, the embed shows "These products aren't available right now." instead of an error
- The Embed window warns you when the product you're embedding isn't public, before you paste anything
The embed sizes itself to its content, so there's no inner scroll bar and no gap below the cards.
When Someone Buys
Buy and Subscribe open checkout on your portal, in a new tab. It's the same guest checkout your public product pages use: the buyer enters their name, email and card, an account is created for them, and any post-purchase onboarding you've set up runs as usual.
Checkout never runs inside the other website's page, and nothing the buyer types is visible to that site.
Who Can Use It
The Embed option appears for administrators and technical staff, the same people who can manage the support form embed. Other staff can still use the Products Hub but don't see Embed.
Visitors on the outside site need no account.
Troubleshooting
| You see | Do this |
|---|---|
| A yellow notice: "These products could not load here" | Add the address it names to Sites allowed to embed, then reload the page |
| "These products aren't available right now." | Check the plan or product is Show publicly, Active, and not assigned to a client |
| Nothing at all | Make sure the whole script tag was pasted, in the page body, and that your site builder isn't stripping script tags |
| Old prices | The embed is always current; your site or a caching plugin may be serving an old copy of its own page. Clear that site's cache |
Notes & Gotchas
- The list is shared. Removing a site from Sites allowed to embed stops both the support form and product embeds on it
- No code changes after updates. The script is served from your portal, so portal updates reach every embed without anyone editing their site
- Search engines don't index the embedded cards. If you want a page that ranks, use a public product page and link to it
