Real-time Collaboration Features

Client Cove is built for live collaboration. See updates as they happen, know when your team is online, and work together seamlessly across all features.

Real-time Updates

When you are viewing Client Cove, changes appear automatically without refreshing the page:

  • Ticket updates — New comments, status changes, and assignments appear instantly
  • File changes — New uploads and modifications show up in real time
  • Messages — Incoming messages appear immediately in your conversation threads
  • Dashboard — The activity feed updates live as events occur

This means you always see the latest information without needing to reload.

Live Presence

Client Cove shows you when your team members are online:

  • Green dot — Currently active in the portal
  • Yellow dot — Active recently (within the last 15 minutes)
  • No dot — Offline

Presence indicators appear:

  • In the messaging contact list
  • On ticket detail pages (showing who is viewing the ticket)
  • In shared file views

Collaborative Features

Simultaneous Ticket Viewing

When multiple people are viewing the same ticket, Client Cove shows who else is looking at it. This prevents duplicate work and helps coordinate responses.

Typing Indicators

In messaging, you can see when someone is typing a response. This helps pace your conversation naturally.

Activity Timestamps

All activities show precise timestamps that update in real time. You can see exactly when someone last interacted with a ticket, file, or message.

Notification Sync

Notifications are synchronized across all your devices. Mark a notification as read on your phone, and it clears on your desktop too.

Best Practices

  • Keep the portal open during working hours to receive real-time updates
  • Check presence indicators before messaging to know if someone is available
  • Use the activity feed as your primary way to stay current with changes
  • Enable browser notifications for alerts even when Client Cove is in a background tab
