Your Week Widget

Your Week is a dashboard card for your team. It shows at a glance how full each person's week is: what agents have left waiting for them, what's due, and what their clients have been doing.

Overview

Each staff member sees their own week, Monday to Sunday in your site's timezone. The card sums everything into one reading, from Quiet to Heavy, so a busy week stands out before anyone opens a list. Every number links to the page where the work lives. Open Today next to the dates opens Today, the page for what to do right now.

What It Shows

The heat bar

A colored bar at the top reads Quiet, Steady, Busy or Heavy, with the dates of the week beside it. It adds up the numbers below:

  • Items waiting on you in Actions, tasks due this week, open tickets and calendar events count 1 each.
  • Overdue tasks and unanswered tickets count 2 each.
  • Client activity counts 1 for every 5 updates.

A tile gets a colored edge when it needs attention: anything waiting in Actions, any overdue task, or any unanswered ticket.

Waiting on you

The first three items waiting on you in Actions, in the same order as the Actions list: requests that expire soonest, then the oldest drafts. Click one to open it directly on the Actions page. If items you've already decided haven't been marked checked yet, the heading shows how many (for example 1 done, unchecked). Open Actions → takes you to the full list.

This part only appears for people who can use Actions.

Coming up

Up to four items from your calendar for the rest of the week, with the day and the client. It uses the same calendar as the Next 7 Days widget.

Client activity

What the clients you work with did in the last 7 days, compared with the 7 days before:

  • tickets they opened
  • replies they posted on tickets
  • portal messages they sent
  • changes they made to files and resources

You see the total with the change from the week before, the three most active clients, and the latest entries, each linking to the ticket, message or file.

"Clients you work with" means clients where you're the Primary Contact, plus the clients of any open ticket assigned to you. Administrators see a Mine / All switch next to the heading to show every client instead.

Adding It to a Dashboard

An administrator adds the widget once, and everyone who sees that dashboard gets their own week in it.

  1. Go to Manage Dashboards and click Edit Dashboard (the pencil) on the dashboard your team uses.
  2. In the Widget Library, click Your Week. It's added as a Large (2x2) card.
  3. Drag it where you want it, and open its settings to change the options below.
  4. Click Save. The builder also saves changes automatically every 60 seconds.

Who Can See It

  • Staff roles (administrators, editors, system admins and your other staff roles) see the card with their own numbers.
  • Client users never see it. On a dashboard shared with clients, the card is simply hidden for them.
  • The Waiting on you tile and list appear only for people who can use Actions.
  • Only administrators can switch client activity to All.

Notes & Gotchas

  • Client activity can lag up to 5 minutes. The list of client updates is cached briefly, so a reply a client just posted may take a few minutes to show.
  • Staff actions never count as client activity. Replies, messages and file changes by your own team are left out, even on a client's ticket.
  • "Clients you work with" needs a link to you. If you aren't the Primary Contact on any client and have no open tickets assigned, the card says so instead of showing activity.
  • Overdue calendar items can appear under Coming up. Items that are past due and still open are labelled Overdue.
  • The week always starts on Monday, whatever your calendar's first day of the week is.
