Account & Login
How do I reset my password?
Click Forgot Password on the login page and follow the instructions. A reset link will be sent to your email. The link expires after 1 hour.
Can I change my email address?
Your email address is tied to your account and cannot be changed directly. Contact your service provider to update it.
How do I enable two-factor authentication?
Go to Settings then Security and click Enable Two-Factor Authentication. Follow the setup wizard.
I lost access to my 2FA device. What do I do?
Use one of your recovery codes to log in. If you have used all recovery codes, contact your service provider to verify your identity.
Can I have multiple accounts?
Each email address can only be associated with one Client Cove account. If you need access to multiple portals, your service provider can invite you using different emails.
Tickets
How do I create a support ticket?
Go to Tickets in the sidebar and click New Ticket. Fill in the subject, description, and priority, then submit.
How long will it take to get a response?
Response times depend on your service provider's policies. Check your portal's service level agreement or contact your provider directly.
Can I reopen a resolved ticket?
Yes, you can reopen a resolved ticket within 7 days by clicking Reopen on the ticket page. After 7 days, create a new ticket instead.
How do I attach files to a ticket?
Click the Attach Files button in the ticket form or drag files into the description area.
Files & Documents
What is the maximum file size?
The maximum file size depends on your plan — 25 MB for Starter, 100 MB for Professional, and 500 MB for Enterprise.
How long are deleted files kept?
Deleted files are kept in the Trash for 30 days before permanent deletion.
Can I share files with people outside Client Cove?
File sharing is limited to users within your portal. For external sharing, download the file and share it through your preferred method.
Does Client Cove support file previews?
Yes, Client Cove provides in-browser previews for PDFs, images, and common document formats.
Security
Is my data encrypted?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
Where is my data stored?
Data residency depends on your service provider's configuration. Common options are United States and European Union. Ask your provider for details.
Does Client Cove sell my data?
No. Client Cove never sells, shares, or monetizes your data.
How do I report a security concern?
Contact your service provider or email security concerns directly to the support team.
